Lessons I Learned in 2023
As we close the year, these are the lessons I learned in 2023 while reflecting. Most of these lessons, I am grateful to have put in the circumstances to have learned.
Where you are a year from now, is a reflections of the choices you choose to make right now.

Reflecting on the past months as a collective can help you see how effective you were able to plan that year and how you can duplicate what worked for the next year. It helps you see, in a lens of gratitude, all the things you were able to accomplish, all the experiences you had, and how much you were able to change as a person.
What I Learned this year:
- God’s timing is always right.
- It’s okay to rest but never let yourself get lazy. Never stay stagnant or a sitting Duck. God works but you need to put in the efforts too, it won’t fall on your lap.
- Resting is productive too.
- Hustle culture was not for me and that’s okay.
- Family time is crucial and so important.
- Pray for friendships bc God listens and he delivers, he does not want you to be alone.
- Look for Godfidence.
- Relationships should be valuable on both ends.
- You can’t pour from an empty cup, Selfcare is IMPORTANT
- Planning and goal setting is effective.
- Never stop learning, even if it’s just reading a self help book.
- MAKE time and schedule in new experiences.
- Being picky and selective is not such a bad thing.
- Setting boundaries is crucial in relationships.
- You have the power to control your emotions and if you will let something affect you.
- Prayer is a conversation with God and practicing prayer in community helps strengthen your prayer life.
- Practicing gratitude daily helps you ground yourself.
- You should not feel guilty for outgrowing situations and/or people
- Always be upfront with your feelings if something is bothering you, the right people will appreciate it.
- Love like Jesus – it makes such a difference with how to move forward with people and situations.
